Power Steering Upgrade

The hardware on my power steering pump on my 95 4.0 is causing the serpentine belt to squeal. I have 2 questions: 1. Is there an upgraded pump that is spring loaded on the market somewhere? 2. Does anyone have a place to buy just the hardware for the power steering pump?

Any help would be great!

The power steering pulley on mine was plastic and started making a terrible squealing sound. I bought a new pulley on Amazon and that fixed it.

Take some photos of your belt drive. A 4.0 with the older routing should have no issues if you are tightening the tensioner bolt enough. If you have a late 95 with the newer TJ engine and later belt drive, then there may be some figuring out to do because those are different and use a different belt that is not a well known length.

Pulley on my 4.0 PS pump (factory still) is metal. Have never once had a problem related to any of this.

If the squeal is just at start up I suspect your alternator bearings are toast. If not, try tightening the belt using.a ratcheting wrench, it is the easiest way to get it properly tight.
