I am trying to find the CCV tubes/hoses. I need both front (to air filter housing), and rear (to intake manifold.

I can’t seem to find the correct parts.
‘93 4.0

For the 93 you should have the valves that twist in rather than pop out with a grommet. I believe they changed them for 94 and 95. I am currently waiting on my items to come in. Mine is a 93 4.0 as well.

The hoses I could only find on Carid.com thanks to @machoheadgames. I think the front was $12 and the rear was $15 or vice versa. The shipping was another $15. From what I see in the photo for the rear, it looks like two hoses. The PO for my Jeep did a hack job on my PCV and I only have 1 hose for the rear so I am not sure if two hoses are needed or just one. CarId confirms that it should work on a 93.

I went with the Rear Mopar PCV Elbow with the impression that it came with the hoses. It is expensive at $14.21. You may be able to find a Dorman equivalent for the rear elbow on Quadratec or Carid at a cheaper price. I couldn't find one on Amazon.

Here is what I ordered:

Front hose - Mopar® W0133-1840453-MPR (Crankcase to air cleaner breather)
https://www.carid.com/mopar/breather-hose-mpn-w0133-1840453-mpr.html

Rear Hose - Mopar® W0133-1840458-MPR (crankcase to intake manifold)
https://www.carid.com/mopar/breather-hose-mpn-w0133-1840458-mpr.html

Elbows:
Front - Dorman 47056

Rear - Mopar 53030492

I found the front and rear hose on https://www.partsgeek.com/mmparts/breather_hose/jeep/wrangler.html

The Product SKU's are the same for 93 and 94. So it should still work. If you would like to wait before you order I can confirm when I fix mine. It should be quick and easy, but everything I have said that to myself to has not been the case lol. I just won't be able to get to it until this coming Tuesday.

Yeah, I’ve been a little confused, because some of the stuff that I found on YouTube where guys have been changing them out, some say that it is the CCV’s, some say PCVs, some say they’re the twist off, others say it’s the ones you have to pop out. I found one guy, he even listed the part numbers, so I went in and searched for those Dorman part numbers, and it says it doesn’t fit my jeep. So, I appreciate the info.

Same here. I don't know if they are interchangeable. When I look for videos it says CCV, but when looking for the parts it says PCV. I watch alot of JeepSolid videos on youtube. He has a 94 daily driver and a 92 project. He has two "CCV" videos one for each. I believe he explains about the valves changing to the pop out version for the 94 in one of the videos. The comment section is where I found the part numbers for the elbows.

Yeah, he is the one I watched too. I just sort of skipped through, so probably missed the bit about them changing in '94.

Thanks!

It is officially a CCV system. PCV involves an actual PCV valve that goes bad over time. CCV is crankcase ventilation. Not sure what it really accomplishes as an end goal, but if basically mixes any excess oil vapor with fresh air from the intake, and runs that back through the intake manifold. Older vehicles and many modern vehicles have PCV but the 2.5 and 4.0 on a YJ are officially CCV. I believe the 87-90 2.5 and 4.2 have PCV.

As for the parts, I think Doop is steering you in the right direction based on everything I’ve seen. Acquiring parts can be confusing, it’s difficult to keep up with the valve cover changes over the years. Seems like between 93 and 94 is the hard break for the elbow change. Then I see lots of YJs from all 91-95s and see two types of oil caps with no explanation why each one came with which. Weird typical Jeep crap.

So the video where he mentions it is actually the one where he is working on the valve cover gasket for his project 92, but he just says there are two different styles and shows a clip of the pop out valve. He didn't specify if there was a change between 93 and 94. I was wrong.

They are a pretty good snug fit especially the Mopar.

Awesome! Those are the two from the Amazon links you posted above?

So, I was going to ask you, I noticed on Amazon, the rear one is significantly more money than the front one. It look like it came with some sort of hose or something with it, but now I see.
The rear one did not come with a hose. I was under the same impression. You are going to pay the $15 for just the rear elbow. I had to get a rear hose from carID.com.

If you can find a rear dorman elbow brand get it. I could not find one. Try looking for one on Quadratec.com or extremeterrain.com. They have Crown and Omix brands.

The rear hose on carID came with 2 hoses. One for the CCV elbow to manifold and another for manifold from somewheres else. I think it may be for the MAP sensor?

I believe It plugs into top of the firewall above the valve cover. I saw somewhere in the FSM that this is the MAP sensor location.
