Are my doors not YJ doors?

Ordered some mirrors mirrors from Rugged Ridge that seem pretty decent however will not fit my YJ. My guess is the doors are from a different model. Attached is a photo. I would also like to order door parts as well for the Jeep. Any help in Identifying the doors I have would be appreciated.

Doors are YJ... mirrors, not so much!

Oh for the love of previous owners. I'm looking at a pic I took of my doors and now I'm wondering what doors i have on my 92 YJ and what mirrors.

My door hinges different and the mirror is mounted backwards.

I'll be back Sunday to see what I have.

Grrr. Mumble mumble...

Gotta learn the differences in the years. 87-02 half doors all use full size mirrors that bolt to threaded holes on the hinge. 87-93 full doors used these tiny little mirrors that fastened down with sheet metal screws. 94-02 full doors finally came with the tapped hinges to use the full size mirrors. You have 87-93 full doors that don't have the tapped hinges.

At this point I don’t think you can even buy the little factory replacement mirrors anymore. Your best bet is buying upper hinges that are tapped for the 3-holes each (plus the 3 mounting holes so 6 holes total) and then mounting the mirrors to the tapped holes. Be ready to send the Omix shit back though. I tried Quadratec, Omix, and Crown years ago and they all shook so badly they were unusable. Official Mopar mirrors from a 2003+ TJ fixed it.

BTW, you are on the wrong side. That mirror goes on the driver side. Look at Flyer’s post. That is how yours need to be, and they do NOT mount to the hinge-to-door holes.

There is nothing wrong with yours whatsoever. The bolts are supposed to be backwards, the mirrors do not mount to the hinge to door holes. The hinge mounts to the door and then the hinge has tapped holes on itself that the mirror attaches to and they are the orientation that you have.

Those look like TJ mirrors to me.
They are but that part does not matter. He got the wrong mirror for his door application. He has an older full door which uses tiny 2-screw mirrors. Any YJ whose doors came with tapped upper hinges and mirrors mounted to them (87 and later half doors, 94 and later full doors) can fit any TJ mirror. The large mirror on the YJ was the exact same thing used on 97-02 TJs and they didn't change the pattern for the 03 TJ. Therefore, lots of older Jeeps are now running 03-06 TJ mirrors. Mopar superseded the old part fully, you can only buy the 03+ mirrors these days and they will bolt onto anything YJ and later that is NOT an 87-93 full door.
