    for people who live in smog check states, your gas tank has to hold around 5 psi of air pressure f0r 5 minuets so replaceing the small white vent dodads and gaskets is a good idea while you are in there

    yes the CPS reads off the Fly wheel. use your Test light or Ohm meter to see if you have power to the Cps { I think it requiers 5 volts min.)

    thought I'd mention, when I look for coolant leaks I attach a bicycle tire pump to the radiator over flow hose and put 10# of pressure in the system so I can work on a cool engine

    check 12v wire going to coil with key on. if its hot take your coil off and give it a good shake. if it rattles you need a new coil

    install a tire or bicycle valve stem cap on the injector gas manifold to keep the crud out of the Shrader valve port

    Crank no start

    Harbor Freight has an Inline Spark Testing Light for $4.99 , you can test each individual spark plug and your coil by moving if to each wire. When I'm working on a no start I always start with this test and if everything is good in the fire department I move on to fuel.

    Try 80 grit sandpaper backed with a small block of wood. Gaskets are made to seal with out using Sealer. Use a Stright Edge on the Valae Cover to check for a smooth flat surface.     1990 2.5L Wrangler Exhaust Issue

    my exhaust manifold on my 91 2.5 had major cracks on the underneath side. you can't see or feel them unless you remove the manifold. after I replaced it , it runs so quiet I can sneek up on people with it running. replacements at Napa $100 bucks +/-. Change the freeze plugs while your in there.
