    Fuel return line

When I trace the fuel line from the tank to the currently fitted in-line filter, to the carb via the little electric pump, it terminates just before the pump with a 'bung' shoved in it. But when tracing the fuel feed line back from the pump to the tank it totally bypasses the filter and...

    Fuel return line

Quick one. Please can someone send me a pic of which line I use to connect to the fuel filter return line back to the tank? I have 3 lines running along my chassis but cant figure out the return that connects back to the tank to help prevent vapour lock with my carb. Thanks all!

    Renix system change

Hi, I also run a very late 1989 2.5 and it's got 268,000ks. I asked the same thing when I accidentally killed two of the ( in the UK - very expensive) ECU's and was told the same thing. Cheaper to buy a whole new engine, which in the UK meant basically buying a new Jeep! I went for a Carb...

BFG KO2 - to change or not to change

Hi all, I run a Jurassic Park Jeep here in the UK with almost sceen-accurate KO2's on. Is there an alternative to these that offer better economy? I like the look of them: chunky with the white letters etc etc but the low economy and high rolling resistance is beginning to bother me. Any options...

Fuel Line / Pump / Filter Query

I think it was plugged as a part of the Nov '24 EFI delete and Carb fitment. I'll check my photo collection to see if it was like that before Nov '24. Is that the fuel return pipe in normal situation?? Any idea what that red tube is above the filter?

    2.5 Throttle Body Injector Options

My 2 cents worth: 1, Take the injector out of the TBI. 2. Take a 9v battery and hook two wires to it. 3. Touch the two prongs on the injector with the two wires from the battery. 4. The injector should click each time you touch the wires to it. 5. If it clicks - it's working. Second thing to...

Fuel Line / Pump / Filter Query

Hi all, A query to anyone with a retro fitted carb on a 2.5l 4 cyl. Same issue as reported...

    Parking Brake Query

Hi Flyer58, I replaced the driver's side cable as well last week and you're right, they were both the same length and the connector is now set perfectly at right angles as they both have the same tension. E brake is seriously strong now and waaaaay better than with the old cables which had...

Need Advice On Next Steps – 1989 YJ 2.5L Cranks But Won’t Start

87-90 TBI removal video or tutorial?

Hi from the UK. I took my TBI apart on my 1989 2.5l to resolve a vacuum leak between the TBI body and the intake, the paper / card gasket was virtually gone, so the whole thing whilsted at high speed! I replaced it with blue sealant we have in the uk, lightly spread over both surfaces of the TBI...
