    Heating Query

Hey Gila. Yup. It appears to have been a block after all So I investigated and found lots of air blocked in the hoses! I spent a good hour finessing it out of the rad cap and behold.i now have properly hot air flowing out the heater. FINALLY! Also seems to have made the Jeep run a bit better...

    RPM Query

Haha, yes we do! Some truly awful diesels over here!

    RPM Query

Interesting. Someone else said they hardly ever use 5th as it's gutless on even a simple freeway incline and you drop to 4th just to keep up. That's what I have. It's great in 4th but I feel I'm stressing it out as the engine roars at that speed. Well, I say roar, more like a 'holy cow you...

    Heating Query

It feels like it's 'yeah whatever, here's some warmish air' but not firing up where the cab is so warm I turn it off. I'm certain I did a top job on rebuilding the heating assembly and putting it all back together then back under the dash ( bulky bloody thing!!) But I'll double check the...

    Heating Query

Another Sunday query... I had to replace my heater core as the original had a leak into the cab. Pulled the heating / ventilation box put to do it. Not a huge task and ended up totally refurbing the box and flaps and whatnot Thing is, I can run the Jeep for miles but the heater never seems to...

    RPM Query

Macho that's a good point, Macho that's a good point. Yes speedo shows higher rpm than reality so yes it must have had bigger wheels or tyres at some point in its life. I guess it won't affect the rpm limits as red line is red line no matter what the wheel sizes are? I guess it's the sound...

    RPM Query

Hi all I have a 1989 2.5l 4 cyl. Can anyone tell me what revs they are happy going to in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gears please? Silly question I guess - had it three years - but I do tend to play it very safe to preserve the engine. Recently I did a speed test with a 'sat nav true mph' app to see...

    87 YJ Seat Belts

Good point. I retro fitted a family bar on mine so there are two bolt holes - so the '89' should probably say '89 Jeep' with '94 family bar'...

    87 YJ Seat Belts

Hi, chiming in on this one.... I have been told that my 89 YJ would've had seat belt height adjusters at shoulder height, kind of a black box bolted to the bar and the seat belt can be adjusted up or down on it? Is that correct and what is the part number? Thanks all.

    TJ lightbar on a YJ

Good news! It fit really well. Had to drill two holes in either side of the frame to accommodate it as it didn't align with any holes on my shield but it sits perfectly on the shield and looks great. Not bad for £40 or $53 in real money.

    TJ lightbar on a YJ

Here the one for sale. Just the chrome mount, not the chrome plates on the Jeep.

    TJ lightbar on a YJ

Hi all Will a TJ lightbar that sits around and slightly in front of the windshield, fit on a YJ windshield frame? It's the chrome one that has the four light plates and is bolted in to the bottom outside of the windshield frame in a TJ. One for sale over here but I don't know if it will sit on...

Has anyone successfully removed the ECU from behind the glovebox and grab handle?

I have a LHD 2.5 over here. Took the ECU out plenty of times. Take the glove box grab handle part out. There is a screw on the front of the ECU which snugs it to its fram. There are two big bolts in the engine back right behind the ecu that need to be undone. This allows the ecu in its fanto be...
