My 1990 YJ 2.5 is approaching 200k in mileage. I am intending on a major overhaul. At this time I’m debating changing over from TBI Renix to a newer multi port injection from a 91 to 95 unit. Has any one done this. I was told I need complete doner engine and system!

Hi, I also run a very late 1989 2.5 and it's got 268,000ks. I asked the same thing when I accidentally killed two of the ( in the UK - very expensive) ECU's and was told the same thing. Cheaper to buy a whole new engine, which in the UK meant basically buying a new Jeep! I went for a Carb conversion instead.
