If you have fuel to the carb but no fuel getting into the carb Id be looking at the float being stuck up, it thinks the bowl is full already. If its not the float its gotta be the needle in the seat is hung up or plugged, some I've seen have a tiny little screen/filter, or they never drilled it...

Its a mod that eliminates the stepper carb function (IIRC) and some of the crap under the hood on a 4.2 powered CJ.

You should be able to find exact details as a write up from the original, you try google searching? I used it years ago on one of my CJ's.

OEM style paper is by far the best filter to use. Good for going that route. (y)

Geex, last trip into a major auto pats store I was shocked. $13 for a quart of valvoline. Sheesh, the local super market is cheaper. At any rate Summit Racing sells a variety of GL4 trans oils and GL5 Diff lubes if you cant find it locally.

OEM is nice but as your finding its likely never to be found. I dont see why you cant use a good quality fuel/vapor proof type hose of correct size.

I'll add that line to the valve covers fitting has a pretty small orifice, like less than a 1/16" in it if its like the other 2 YJ's Ive had. Get a small drill bit/wire,whatever and make sure its open/clear. DO not make it bigger with a drill though.

China FUBAR'ed threads? Unfortunately there are Metric barb fittings and maybe thats how it was threaded. It leaking when running? There are a couple fuel proof Permatex products available if needed.

I had a cj7 with the howell kit. for the most part it used chevy 4.3 parts with an inline electric fuel pump tapped into a hot when key on line. Im curious on a YJ how they do it but IIRC howell offers instructions on their website.

Verify you have power to the pump when the key is in run. It may be a dead pump, if it is call Howell.
