All I can offer is the FI kit from Howell uses a Chevy 4.3 TBI set up.

On my YJ's I found it wasn't the bulb being bad, but the connection was dirty enough to make them not light. Them bulbs are little tiny SOB's.

25 years is a long time to sit for sure. It do sound like a fuel delivery issue for sure. Are you getting fuel to the fuel injector? It itself might be completely corroded and/or gummed up and plugged off. Rockauto has parts for the TBI systems which can be tricky.

No, that 100 lbs of winch or metal cable is not the issue. Sounds more like a PS steering issue or something binding up. Ive put winches on every CJ/YJ/TJ ive owned and it never made a difference steering wise.

First off is this new to you? Been sitting a long time? Past history, head gaskets, over heating kinda thing. If your getting spark and you introduce fire water (gas) and it tires to start but wont, Id try some more cause it should fire for a little bit. If it never does Id be thinking valve...

My personal opinion is diesel oils are great in the right application, in summer??, OK. However I would not run 15/XX in your jeep in winter. If anything use one of the 5/40 syn diesel oils like shell T5 or T6, or whatever it is. If it were mine with that many miles id consider 10/40 high...

Ebay although boxing is a PITA. Probably locally on C/L or F/B scamplace.

Neither of my 2.5's had any kind of restrictor in the air intake. Secondly Id shitcan that K&N for a paper filter if you do ANY off road driving. Lastly, there is literally nothing you can do to make a 2.5 more powerful except swap it for another engine.

Ramps in front and the jack stands in back is what I use. I rarely use a creeper as it just slides when cranking on bolts etc.

Looking back at you other/first? post did you fix anything? You said black smoke and sputtering and a top speed of 45. Who did the rebuild? Going down the list of maybe's, and hopefully somebody will chime in, the timing gears off a tooth. I will add this, I had one of the Jamboree edition CJ's...

Jeeps were never known for stout electrical systems. Bad grounds can be a big issue and I see rust which says corrosion. Battery cables can look good but be internally for one. If you turn the key to the run position are you getting voltage anywhere like to the fuse box or fuses under the hood...

I dont recall if you went thru the lighting connections, but you should, there is a reason the switch heated up and petered out.
