I Took The Plunge…2022 Willys Sport

Between my ‘89 YJ and my ‘99 Suburban overland project I’m always using one to get parts for the other. So when they both need something I’m screwed. To fix that I decided just to get something new for a DD. Something I haven’t done since a new Dodge Ram back in ‘94. Had it shipped up from a...

    New York $50 hard top

    Proper Charcoal Canister Routing

Sorry for the late response. I found that right in my Haynes manual.

    Cleaning up the ‘89

After a very extended winter vacation it’s back to business. As a follow up, the hard top still looks great. Even after sitting uncovered outside for a whole winter. The mirrors I found didn’t move at all at high speeds but bumpy conditions moved them enough to have to be readjusted. Nothing a...

Yj103, so far so good. But I hit 50 maybe twice a week. So they really haven’t been “fully wind tested”. Planning a one hr highway trip when I get home so I’ll let you know. Sitting at airport in NC as I type. Mind blowing amount of killer clean YJ’s down here!!

    Proper Charcoal Canister Routing

In prep of total vac and air hose replacement I noticed nothing matches up on the canister. Going from left to right on the diagram (1,2,3,4) my #1 (purge signal) goes to the fuel tank, not the EGR. #2 (PCV purge ) goes to purge solenoid. # 3 and 4 are “T” connected and run to a multi vacuum...

Update NY mountains. Had the pond re dug 10 years ago due to cattail invasion. Just goldfish. Not big enough for anything else really. Plus the heron, kingfisher and a resident mink eat everything so it’s cheaper to get a $10 bag of Goldie’s than a $30 coy that’s just going to be someone’s dinner.

    Cleaning up the ‘89

Door panel has held up well. No need to touch up yet. Here’s the can for anyone interested. It’s the same YJ103 used on that killer interior he painted. Ordered these Qtech Adventure mirrors. No more f-ing around with relocation brackets and stripped and broken torx heads. They drop right in...

    Cleaning up the ‘89

I’ve had this one a year now and due to lots of travel and it unexpectedly become my DD when home I haven’t gotten much done except emergency repairs (u/joints, frame weld) It looks like shit but is still a fun ride found the warm caramel paint last year and sprayed my door panels. From ratty...

    1991 Renegade write up

My neighbor had an Eagle, early 90’s. Nice concept but way too many problems. He drove it into the ground... literally. He went to change the radio and went off the road into a trench they were digging for a new drainage system. Lived to tell the tale but the Eagle didn’t.

    From Miami to Boston

It’s a good color. I stumbled on it at Walmart last year and sprayed my door panels. Then had Lowe’s color match me some exterior and painted my hard top

    Taco Bell and no doors

I think I’d rather deal with bears than mountain lions any day lol. We have lots of bear. Usually no problems except garbage day once in a while. But if you run into a cub you need to be on the lookout for mama, because that’s when there could be trouble!

    Taco Bell and no doors

Just a funny story. The other morning I looked out the window and saw my tools in the driveway next to the Jeep and figured someone rifled through it because the doors were off. Not common up here on the mountain but it can happen. Checked the video footage and caught the culprit. I left a empty...
