I found a set of Tires and wheels off of a 2015 Rubicon. They are 255 75 17. I currently have 17" tires with spacers on my YJ. What would the standard equivalent be? According to Quadratech's tire calculator, they would be 32.1X10.0R17

Does that sound right?

Quadratec is correct. 255 is the width in mm. So that’s 255/25.4, 10.03” wide.

height is the width, x the “75” aspect ratio, so that’s 10.03 x 0.75 = 7.53 which is the sidewall height, so you multiple that

Thanks! No, if I could just figure out what to do for a slight lift. Could I just throw on 2" lift springs all the way around? Trying to avoid the $500 price tag for the RC kit, or even higher price for some of the other kits.

Your shocks very likely won’t be good with higher springs. They don’t have a very long extended length so it probably won’t work at all. I don’t remember the exact specs. I’d avoid the RC kit in general, I ran it for a few years. If you want the lift, I’d advise to do it right, save a little bit for the parts and do it with old man emu. It won’t be cheap and will definitely be considerably more than RC, but it’s worth it.

Probably add a 1-1.25” body lift as well. I have OME and 1.25” BL and it doesn’t look ridiculous on 31’s. 32’s would fit it well, and I’m about to put 33’s on which will work well too.

If I had to do it again, I would have started with the 1" BL I have now or maybe bit more like Macho.
They are not very expensive and pretty easy to install.
But I had to replace the stock springs as they were collapsed.
Did a 2-1/2" RC kit and it came up 4".
The kit had the right shocks. (Nothing fancy, I think Bilstiens)
Then the lid came off the can and the worms got out.

So for a lift you can either do it with shocks, leaf springs, body, or shackles? And or a combination of it all?
Well just shocks, no. They only control the ride quality. Everything else yes. A shackle lift lifts the Jeep half of the extra length of the shackle. So a 1" longer shackle bolt hole to bolt measurement would be half inch lift. Shackle lifts really start to hurt handling pretty drastically though. Just a 3/8" shackle lift (3/4" longer shackles) was a really noticeable difference in handling, I didn't like it at all.

You can definitely do a combo. I basically have about a 1/4" shackle lift, a 2.5" suspension lift, and 1.25" body.
