Need to replace my original carb in my 87 YJ (4.2 L inline 6). I want to go to the Weber carburetor with manual choke. Other than doing the Nutter Bypass and re-routing vacuum lines is there anything else I need to do? Also, I prefer a manual choke, any downsides to this decision? I used to have a FJ40 with manual choke, would put in 4 wheel and pull out the choke and let it crawl. Hope to do the same with the YJ. Also new here pointing me to any new threads would be appreciated.

If you install an HEI distributor you can skip the nutter bypass. Those weber carbs are okay...I don't see a downside to what you're wanting.

Edit- didn't realize this post was from 2020...my bad.
