Hey everyone, I’ve been curious about something for a while and can’t seem to find the answer. I have done some research and looked at my own jeep as well.

When I turn on the courtesy light by switching the dimmer all the way to the down position, I only have a light on the driver side. I have seen mention of a bulb on the passenger side as well, but I don’t have a connector or a wire in that area. I also don’t have a door switch on the passenger side like I do on the driver side.

Is there a chance someone just removed it or did a 1993 YJ come without a courtesy light on the passenger side?

Thank you!

My 1990 Jeep has under-dash lights on both sides. Both come on with the dimmer switch and when either door is opened. Both doors have identical door switches. I must remove both of the door switches when taking the doors off for the summer.

All of them I’ve seen have them on both sides. Does the right door frame have a hole where a switch could have been but was removed?
