I am about to install some 4” leaf springs. My u bolts all look to be in pretty good shape. As long as they come off without issue, what do y’all think about reusing them?

This question is asked in our shop and on our website on nearly a daily basis. Take 5 minutes to learn why it's not a good idea to reuse your U-bolts. Why can’t I reuse my U-bolts? This is one of the single most commonly asked questions out there when discussing leaf springs and related...
You should not as the guys said, but I have reused them after removing them when I pulled a leaf out each side or that kinda thing and never had any issues. I would strongly advise to buy quality ones if you do replace them. I say that after buying Omix replacements from a major jeep parts supplier and received china made junk I wouldn't trust to hold a kids little red wagon together. Chunks of threads missing and looked like garbage metal.
I'm with these guys, Just get new ones, they're not that expensive and you'll have confidence in them being new.
This is just one place that you should never short-cut.
A broken U-bolt is the difference between life and death, or a totaled vehicle.
