Hi All
Any tips on how to separate this 95JY multifunction switch plug from this socket which is located under the steering column. Its the first time Im doing this and Im not sure how this comes apart and I don't want to force anything . Its very cold outside so the plastic seems brittle. Does that tab "pull/slide up" releasing the plug or do I pry the tab away from the plug and and press the tab down down?

TIA

Thanks for your feedback Macho. I'm old so its hard for me to see this plug and socket correctly. Is the tab part of the female socket or part of the male plug. Assuming I have the correct replacement part, the tab looks like part of the female socket.
If the Tab is part of the socket, does the tab move/slide independently from the body of the female socket or is it one piece, I.e molded into the socket body. If it slides independently, I would guess that I should pull up on the tab meaning to the left in the picture towards the switch side wiring. If it is attached to the female socket body and does not "slide" I would guess that I would move the tab towards the right side of diagram as I am attempting to do with the screwdriver, shown inserted under the tab.

TIA
Randy from Ridgefield.
