Hello, new guy here. Need advice, 199 wrangler islander. 4.0/auto no mods except lift. Starts up but immediately dies. Already replaced coil, rotor, cap, fuel filter, MAP sensor, tps sensor, ECM, and starter switch. Any ideas?
Sounds like something is kicking on the ASD relay, meaning you’ve probably got a sensor that’s bad? Lookup ‘ASD Relay’ and search through some posts for reasons the ECU trips it. Could also just be the relay itself.
You may want to try the cam position sensor. On my 94 4.0 it was a very easy swap and fairly inexpensive. Looks like a plate on top of the distributor but some live lower inside the distributor and you need to remove it to replace it
