Recently I find I have to pump the gas while cranking to get the engine started after sitting overnight. Once its been started its good for the day. It's like it's loosing fuel line pressure over night. Anyone have any experience like this?
1987 2.5.

The fuel pumps have built in check valves basically. IIRC your 87 has the TBI system and may be a bit different than my 91's TPI injection but have you tried turning the key on for a few seconds before cranking it over? That should pressurize the fuel system and help or eliminate the long cranking to start.

Yes, it seems turning the key to on has no effect unless Im pumping the pedal. then when i Crank it starts. so I am assuming bad check valve in the pump.
