Hey guys, I am rebuilding my 1993s axles. I already started to reassamble the axles with new parts. However the rear seals won´t fit. I tried SKF 13992, the old ones are NOK 42914. Trying to put the SKF ones in, they allways jump out on one side. (Not the opposite side of the axle).
All the parts catalouges say the 13992 is correct. Can someone help me?
Best Regards
Jan

That is the correct part. Are you using a socket to hammer it on?
Hey first I tried it with the old wheel bearing. Thereafter a big socket and than a peace of wood. I am absolutley suppried, I thought the ones in the front exspecially in the disconnect housing would be hard, but that was easy with some builded tool.

I got it in. I have put the axle inside the house, to get it a little warmer, heating it up wasn´t a option, becouse the wheel bearing sits next to the seal. I didn´t want to damage the bearing. The seal itself was inside the fridge over night. SKF specification working temperature up to -40 celsius. So now everything is ok. Tanks.
