I’ll try to be brief. Had a loud squeak coming from the drivers side of my 95 jeep yj Sahara 4 cyl. I could smell something burning. Tried several things to get rid of the noise. Finally, let it run a little too long, smoke poured out of the power steering pump and cooked the belt off.
Pulley moves freely, I decide I’m going to replace the pump and belt obviously. Go to YouTube and remove the pump. Only bolt I’m having issue with is the tensioner on the bottom. It’s a long bolt, it turns but I’m getting nowhere after a solid 20 mins of wrenching. Far as I know it won’t come out with that still in.
New to this job so any pointers would be appreciated.
