Hey all, been watching all the forums for years

I've been having issues with the metal in line fuel filters.
I hear some people plug the return line and go to single outlet filters when they move to weber or motorcraft carbs. But never anything about the longevity of the plastic ones or how well they work in general.

All if anyone knows how well the plastic in line ones work, that'd be great

Fuel filters shouldn't really be a "long term" kind of item.
I use plastic filters on some of my carb'd rigs, they work just fine and can be used as visual diagnostic troubleshooting tool.
I recommend placing it somewhere easy to reach, and write the install date on it with a sharpie.
They're cheap and should ideally be replaced at least every couple years.

I'm getting maybe a year to year and a half out of the metal ones before the insides sh*t out on me. So plugging the return is no big deal then, right?
It could cause vapor locking problems, especially in hot weather. But yes, it will run without a return.
Is This what you are running right now?
