I’m looking for a tire carrier to mount 35inch tire. I know I can use the tailgate but it’s already in bad shape and I plan to change to a cj drop down style anyways. I do not like the idea of the bumper mounts due to the single mounting point and I’d like to run any bumper I choose for further stretching and more bumper options additionally I may end up welding a bumper on and don’t want to be stuck with the tire carrier. I’m looking for something that ties into the roll bar like the ORfab/body mounted one. I’d prefer the the style without the gas cans unless they could be mounted on the sides of the tire. I’m not sure why it isn’t more popular because it seems like the best way to mount a spare; two mounting points and the mounts/latch tie into the roll cage and all for around 500 dollars I think. Stinks that they’d discontinue one of the most practical options out there for our 30 year old rides.
