Hey everyone - New to the YJ world but I’ve had a few CJ7s over the years. Just did the MC2150 carb swap on the 4.2 in the 1988 YJ I just picked up and went to install the new 10” aftermarket air cleaner assembly and turns out none of the holes in the carb are threaded to be able to secure the air cleaner. My thinking is that I’d try to find a 5/16” press fit with an internal 1/4” thread to accept the air cleaner all thread but having a hard time finding the right piece online.

Wanted to see if anyone else has run into this and has an easier solution.

I not sure that you want to do this, but my friend had the same problem back when,he told me he took a 1/4 thread bolt cut off the head, after getting right length, used bj weld and he had not had a problem. good luck
