The Schaeffler Luk throw out bearing in kits is widely considered junk on these forums and in videos. My feeling is that if true would not say much for rest of the product. I’m doing an internal to external slave swap on my little 2.5 with a sourced AX5 and bellhousing. I want to go in one time and get a couple years until I’m dead. Any opinions? I’m really curious if any of you experienced jeep guys have tried their throw outs.

I used a LUK clutch kit in my 91/2.5 with no issues. Ive read more bad related to the "special" clutch kits than any of the oem style kits. Id use one again if I needed one.

Thanks. They are the way to go. Curious how you torqued the flywheel if changed? 50 ft lbs then 60 degrees is not in my toolbox.

I boughtthe dial from Amazon. The special flywheel bolts are suppose to be a one time use. I called the local Jeep dealer and he found the last set of bolts in the country up in Ohio. They all laughed thinking they would never get rid of them and shipped them off to me.

Gauge found at Amazon.
