Interior lights when doors open

I’ve been struggling to find the problem with the courtesy lights on the interior of my son‘s Jeep. Checked fuses all good new bulbs no go.trying door sensors next just curious if I missed something

door sensors will stick, a very light coat of wd40 and work button. they also come out very easy to replace.good luck

I think the switches just go to ground. I replaced mine and they didn’t work until I mounted them. You might try bypassing the switch with a jumper wire to ground.

Yep, those door switches can stick and go bad even if they don't appear to be stuck.

I can't say I've ever seen one stick. I have seen them get a bit of corrosion where the terminal plates touch at rest (door open) and the connection not go through. A little bit of sanding fixes that.

They don't really "go bad" otherwise, but you can break the switches if you're not careful. The aftermarket ones are junk, try to keep the originals in good shape if you can and attempt to clean them up to make contact.
