How much should I expect to rebuilt and install a NP231 transfer case?

As it turns out, it may not be necessary to rebuild it. Just properly spacing it during install and changing the rear universal joint solved the noise issue. Now if I can just get the linkage straightened out I should be good. The transmission shop now says the wrong bracket is installed....?

well,i,ve been looking on ebay as far as the transfer case goes i seen 1 for 375.oo also deadjeep.com has them for around that also,,,,since i lifted my yj i,m having trouble i,m hoping it,s linkage adjustment but at this time that,s on the back burner,,maybe the info i passed on can help you
