Unfortunately recommending a mechanic can be a daunting task. One guy has luck, the other not so much and hard feelings are left behind. Might try Yelp reviews to start and talk to a couple places and see their response to what you need. Just make sure you get a solid quote prior to any work performed and if extras come up in the process make sure they notify you before any surprises.
