I am adding a hardtop to a factory soft top 1992 YJ! I am restoring it for my grandson so for his first vehicle, I thought is to make it as safe as possible.
Back to the question, I have installed a wiring harness for the hardtop and dash controls. The used top didn’t have a back window so I purchased a used one! It has defrost and washer and wiper. I have the window installed and the struts I purchased have electrical male connections at both ends and the top has wiring at the ball connections for the struts. Can someone explain what these are for? I greatly appreciate your advice and information.

Oh I meant to ask about the connections, the connection that is on the top is not compatible with the connections on the wire harness, I attached photos of both connections. Any suggestions as to which way to go from here? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well, folks! I am stumped! I have been working on the 1992 Jeep YJ for over two years now. I have had to change wiring to upgrade the Jeep for a hard top and AC. Now, it seems like it’s not getting spark. I had been working on it and trying to get it started. I was not getting any spark. I was working on something else none electrical and all of a sudden the starter engages and tries to start the motor. I always make sure that I put it in neutral for just that very reason.
But now I am not getting any spark or any indication of what the problem is? So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
