I picked up a 1992 jeep wrangler two days ago. Yesterday my girlfrend absolutley smoked it right on the back left tire as it was sitting in my drive way. She definitley broke at least the bearing and maybe more of the axle. Im not sure yet because I havent got to pull it apart. I am not sure what route to take with this, do I relace the whole rear end and upgrade to a dana 44 or do I stick with a dana 35? Do I have to replace the whole alxe housing and everything or will I just need to put a new axle in?
I would like to switch to rear disk breaks if I can thats part of the reason I was thinking about just swapping rear ends.

First things first, welcome to the forum!

Second thing would be turn off your caps lock. It makes you look like a retard. Sorry if that offends but sometimes the truth hurts. I went ahead and fixed your all caps post and thread title for you this time. Next time use your head ;)

A Dana 35 is fine for running up to 35" tires (as long as you turn it into a Super 35). There is no point in going with the Dana 44 unless you get it for a good deal. Rear discs is a simple conversion for either axle.

Nobody can tell you what needs replacing without seeing photos.

Where should I start looking to find what i would need to do a super 35? To comment on the caps lock, Im a bit retarded and the only head i think with is between my legs. Thats why my girlfriend is still my girlfriend after hitting a jeep I've had for 2 days... I will get some photos as soon as I can to try to shed some light on any possible damage.
