Getting a rebuilt engine next week, 4.2 258. Done a total tear down of the front end and replacing a number of parts to make a good working YJ that should last me a number of years. New shocks, new rotors, new brakes, new clutch friction plate, new clutch flex plate, new clutch slave cylinder, new clutch master cylinder, new carb, new steering damper, new catalytic converter, new distributor, rebuilt radiator, new fuel pump, new sway bar links, new door latches, new ignition lock cylinder. Finally feeling to the point where I can start putting it all back together. Still gotta get new tires, new battery, new seats, and a replacement soft top. Still needs work on the dash, but putting that off for a bit, I can live with an ugly dash for a month or two till I get the money to complete that. Feeling good right now, but I always feel like the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train.
