It seems that my gas pedal is sitting lower than it should be. I noticed the pedal felt weird the other day and am just now getting to it. It seems like I have to push the pedal to the floor to get it to full throttle unlike normal. I don't think it's the throttle cable or carb causing the issue. My throttle return spring is also functioning. It almost seems like the square plastic clip that goes into the fire wall is in the way of the pedal. Would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this.

It looks pretty normal from the pics but those mats have to be restricting full throttle. Best way is to have somebody floor it and see if your getting full open on the throttle plate.
