Anyone get hyperflash with LED in rear lights?

One of the bulbs went out and was thinking of adding a LED set into the stock original housing.
Anyone get 'hyperflashing' if they tried this?

They won’t flash. You’ll need to either wire in resistors or change the flasher.

Back to the old incandescent it is! Perhaps it's an easy mod to do the LED but no not at this time.
