Does anyone know if the 92YJ S came in black or gray (or both )interior vinyl? Its hard to tell if the color is black or gray whether it is some "charcoal"? Is it in the VIN number? Thanks.

Afternoon, not sure if you found an answer or not, but check your driver side fire wall for the trim tag...interior trim code is on the second line up from the bottom, should be a four digit number that starts around 15 spaces in (see below). Not sure what your code reflects, but I don' t believe that black vinyl was an interior option in '92...most likely it was charcoal. The originals had 'Jeep' printed in a pattern in the center section of the seat covers, Islander editions were grey with blue piping...
