Hey everyone,
A couple of weeks ago, my YJ threw a check engine code indicating a faulty TPS sensor or circuit. Since then, I’ve been experiencing an intermittent issue where the revs suddenly drop while driving, and I have to push in the clutch to regain RPMs and prevent the engine from stalling.
I replaced the TPS sensor, but I didn’t go with an OEM part. The problem is still happening, and I’ve read that aftermarket TPS sensors can sometimes be unreliable. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I try to find an OEM sensor to see if that solves it, or are there other potential causes I should check out first that might be triggering the code?
Thanks for any advice!
