1995 4.0 spark plugs

Hi what spark plugs for 1995 4.0L manual shift. App 985 have come out but can’t find them to replace. Any help appreciated. Thanks

welcome to forum, you plug is a autolite brand. very common in u.s.a. my 1995 wrangler has champion plugs RC12LYC a very good plug, that all i have used 1995. hope this helps.

Those are double platinums, should last about 100K mi or so. Do you really need new ones?

I’m having a bit of a misfire and found that I have 4 matching and 2 odd ones I want to replace with all new matching food quality ones. Any idea what ones I need. ? App 985 plugs don’t seem available

The Yjs with distributors aren't really picky. You can run standard plugs, single platinum or double platinum.

What brands are available there? Factory recommendation for a YJ is going to be Champion RC12LYC standard plug.

These old 4.0's like the cheap plugs. I had read that over and over and when I did my rebuild, I just went with the old Champion copper plugs in mine and she runs great with them.

Exactly. No need for snake oil plutonium plugs.
