    Latest update, cam plug was leaking and they fixed that. Shop says I am running low oil pressure. He going to check the new oil pump I put on, he said he thinks it may be clearance, which I think is the case, it's had its last rebuild.

    Do the external parts of the 4.2 and 4.0 match up? I have a 4.2 beyond rebuilding so I wanted to see if I could replace it with a 4.0 short block.     Not sure of the extent of the leak. We thought it was rear main seal, shop changed it, still pouring. May be rear of block.

    Wasn't planning on it. My head conversion was with a 2150. I would like to have evidence, but cost is a factor.

    Ok, I'm at a crossroad of changing my 4.2 block over to the 4.0. I did a 4.0 head swap on my 4.2, and I found out from the shop, that I may be leaking oil from the back of the block.
