Here is a picture online I found from one of the forums. Maybe this will help. The black one has to go one one of those two outside ports I would think. Since its a vacuum it should be ok if you try it on either one. One of them should work

Oh, almost forgot, I didn't replace the harness to the computer. When I took everything apart, that harness was still wrapped in tape and looked brand new since it was protected. So I just used the schematics and figured what went where to splice it in with the new harness.

After looking over the harness as much as I could, I just thought it would be less work in the long run. Since it was over 30 years old, several mods from previous owners and the condition of most of the wiring insulation I did look at, it seemed better to replace and at least have a decent...

You might check to make sure the cables are connected from the heater to the controller. I had a couple that were frayed and broke which made the controls basically useless.

Must be a common issue. My tsu has one of the two wires coming out of the unit torn off.

I've bought some used oem parts for my yj from dead jeep. So far, everything I've gotten from them has worked.

I don't have a ton of electrical experience. Just some basic soldiering skills and common sense. I would definately suggest giving painless a look. All of thier wires are label number and color coded and with rhe installation instructions included it is almost as simple as putting a jigsaw...

I bought a generic 25 circuit harness from painless performance. It came with everything for the entire vehicle. You can check on thier website, I think they do have different harnesses and setups. There are a few companies that sell the seperate harnesses, just have to do some searching...
