    My Vroom Vroom

Definitely unique and I really like your design. I also saw an old Willys recently and it had the same bowed plastic cover.

    My Vroom Vroom

Trackbar bushings replaced and reinstalled. I drove around a while without it; not on the trail yet, so couldn’t tell much of a difference. I know it gives more flex, but got to get my annual safety inspection so put it back on. Added a much needed cup holder and also a little assistance for...

    AX-15 Transmission Fluid Report

I made the mistake when I first got my Jeep YJ with AX-5 of putting 75w-90 in it and it had such a hard time shifting into first that I changed the fluid after 100 Milesish. After that I had pretty good luck with using Valvoline synchromesh. I did find however that after running it for a while I...

    My Vroom Vroom

As promised here is a video of my exhaust / intake combo sound note. Apologize you didn’t get a cold start and the mic doesn’t pick everything up. I am pleased with the results and that it’s not too loud. Also the intake gives a nice swooshing sound around 2500 rpm.

    My Vroom Vroom

Out with the old! Added the CAD Vac delete today; I know there is cheaper methods of doing it but this kit gives me a little more security. Still need to finish the job to get the 4WD indicator to operate, but I have the parts to complete it. While I was under the Jeep couldn’t help but notice...

    87 YJ won’t go into gear…

When you press the clutch down is it operating as it should? Pressing the clutch and it will roll as if it’s in neutral?

    Corroded Tube (Fuel Related?)

Sounds like a vacuum line with a one way check valve. I’m not sure about your year YJ since you have carburetors and mine doesn’t.

Advice needed 95 YJ Bump steer / Track bar removal

Solid advice; good to know. I am by no means an expert and have only recently removed my track bar. I was going to leave only the front on as well, but had to remove it for the rest of the steering parts I was replacing. I didn’t have the bushings for the track bar so I just opted to leave it...

Birmingham, Alabama to Coppinger Cove, TN (Pic Heavy)

Making me miss where I grew up. Looks like my sisters neck of the woods though; south Pittsburgh MTN/“Chattanooga”. I grew up in the VA/TN/NC area myself.

Advice needed 95 YJ Bump steer / Track bar removal

I’d say save money and remove it, but they do make adjustable track bars for your lift. https://www.ebay.com/itm/134183648954?mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&customid=link&campid=5337789113&toolid=20001&mkevt=1

How much should I pay to get track bars removed?

The track bar is designed to keep the axels aligned. The death wobble is not as likely on the leaf spring vehicle without track bars. However if your sway bars and steering linkage are busted you may be in for a fun ride.

I'm considering buying a YJ; help me prioritize

This article may give some insight on the YJ through the years. https://www.jeepfederation.com/blog/history-of-the-jeep-wrangler-yj-19871995/

How much should I pay to get track bars removed?

I wouldn’t blame any stiffness on just the track bars. What’s the rest of your steering and suspension look like? You may remove your track bars then find out your sway bar bushing are shot and then you may get into a scary situation. I have removed my track bars but I also have made sure my...

Exhaust manifold replacement: what else should I do at the same time? Share some wisdom & save me some time

The passenger side is a little thicker. If you’re looking to spend some money for a better upgrade there is brown dog industries. I couldn’t get myself to spend the extra $100 though. I Just got mine from autozone I believe it was a dorman. You will definitely be able to tell if your motor...

Exhaust manifold replacement: what else should I do at the same time? Share some wisdom & save me some time

I would suggest checking out the motor mounts. It will be at least easy to replace the drivers side without all the stuff in the way.

    My Vroom Vroom

Finally back on the road again! Finished up the brakes today after letting the fitting soak in PB blaster over night. I had to remove the drive side brake line to get a better angle at the fitting. I was thinking about adding brand new lines but then I might as well do the whole brake system if...

    My Vroom Vroom

Steering and suspension is finally completed. Now on to struggling with getting these brake line fittings off. I would like to actually get them off but also feel I’ll save time cutting and flaring the lines. I’m replacing the old rubber lines with some longer stainless braided ones. Probably...

    My Vroom Vroom

Sway bar cleaned up nicely if I don’t say so myself. Got the tie rod and steering dampener all hook up as well. Almost ready to put it back on all fours.

    My Vroom Vroom

What a pain that was removing all the steering components. Some were easy but after hours of soaking in PB blaster I got off the stubborn ones for the tie rod. Gonna come back to the sway bar links later on. I wasn’t going to take off the track bar in the front, but now that it’s off probably...
