follow-up, if you put the question about" 991165" in google, you will come up with a lot of information, not only about the brass plate, but also the red paint marking, the way it reads, i guess that the 1987 models had a lot of eng problems, it either a reman, or a warrant fix, good luck

have you checked the VIN, what does it state?

running without a thermostat will effect the pcm i think?. why it running hot? can you check the temp with a thermo gun to be sure it running hot or could have a bad temp gauge reading. last but not lease, what brand of plugs are you running?

check with NAPA, they make all kind of hose lines?

In missouri , the department of revenue/vehicle section/ keep the records on {VIN} if one wants history of vehicle, might be as well in your state. good lucks

4-4.5 is good for idle. the 2psi i think should be closer to 3.5? when did your last have a fuel filter change. have you checked the fuel pump, it could be going bad.

when was it last tuned-up? what is broken with fifth gear?

no CEL before general points to PCM, most all wrangler that i am aware of use Champion 412{RC12lyc} the oil out exhaust could very be PCV,or bad oil seal. need to check fuel pressure at rail, you can borrow one from auto store. if PCM is problem, it probably effect timing, which could effect...

do you have a "cel" before you warm up? what plugs are you using?

i looked closer with mag.fine glass and i think the grease build-up may be what i seen as a crack? it looks like sway bar link is very close to axle mount? if it was hitting there would be a small mark or bright place where it hit. i never seen bar link turned around? hope your health keep...

the one u-bolt looks like it broke? if it kronk when reverse, could be transmission mount.? sorry to hear about your health. a pickel fork and a good hammer and help from a friend wiil break that link loose. good luck.
