    Is this a AX15 transmission

I paid $189 for my external bellhousing off of ebay.

Got it. It gets so confusing. Thank god we have you lol.

    Is this a AX15 transmission

That I have no answer for. It will depend on the quality of the shop/parts and you will have to trust the person doing it. For starters, if you want the external slave setup you will need an external bellhouseing. That will range about $150 to $200.

    Is this a AX15 transmission

Really really. That is probably the reason for the price, is that it is an internal slave. You will have to take off your transmission to replace it everytime.

    Is this a AX15 transmission

I would just be concerned if it is from a 91 or earlier, I believe @machoheadgames mentioned something about a bearing being different in the past to me.

    Is this a AX15 transmission

Also, do you know what year the transmission is? I can't tell if it is external slave.

    Is this a AX15 transmission

After the other prices I have seen. I would say so. How many miles? I am assuming it will need a rebuild. At $300 for it, that should help you out as a rebuild will be pretty expensive.

    Removing Transmission Oil Pan

Also, if you plan on keeping the skid plate on, Jack up the rear of the Jeep so the oil flows out towards the front and not all in the skid plate like I did. I have made a mess in my skid plate.

    Removing Transmission Oil Pan

I had no problem getting to my bolts with the skid plate on. My biggest issue was getting the oil pan back on with the skid plate there. To get the oil pan off you will see you have to move the oil pan forward and then wiggle it at an angle to get it between exhaust/muffler and drive shaft with...

    New YJ Owner

My apologies if I came off wrong, that was not my intention. Bad joke I guess? Photos are indeed not mandatory, I just look forward to other people's rides.✌️

Jeep wrangler revs but won't go anywhere hardly

My apologies, I meant bad reviews for the Lubelocker Gasket. The only issue I see for the deep pan is I have to see if I have room for the exhaust/muffler hanger. I think there is also a hole for a temp sensor, but the photos don't show the other side of the pan to see if there it another hole...

Jeep wrangler revs but won't go anywhere hardly

A few bad reviews on Amazon and Quadratec of it not seating properly and leaking more than the others is scaring me a bit.

Improving synchro shifting problems by using different gear lube weights or additives?

Don't do Crown. My first one didn't fit on the steering box. I think there might have been a barb in the teeth. The second one was still an odd fit but went on better than the first.

Jeep wrangler revs but won't go anywhere hardly

Thanks, I will try this, I may even look into buying a new pan. I see that MOPAR still makes them for $86. There is also This One, a deep pan with drain plug for the A999 for $70. Which from my understanding the A999 and 32RH are the same except for the 32RH having the torque lock convertor...

Jeep wrangler revs but won't go anywhere hardly

My mess for 1st attempt. Water heater pan is perfect for this job. May also be the pan itself not sealing to the gasket properly because of a horrible job done on the surface from PO:

I would also recommend long surgical gloves that go up to the elbows, a snorkel, goggles, and a hair cover.

Jeep wrangler revs but won't go anywhere hardly

I would try redoing the gasket. It is more than a bit frustrating to do. I have attempted 3 times already. I may attempt again this weekend and try doing it with the skid plate off. I did it with the skid plate still on and I think trying to wiggle the pan with the gasket on between the exhaust...

Another possible leak area will be the "Input shaft selector seal". It is located on the left side of the transmission where the shift linkage and neutral safety switch are. Read one source that states it is a common leak spot. And to give you better names for the front and rear seal I...
