    My A/C blower motor died

I too am looking for recommendations for these guys. My YJ originally had AC installed but only has a ceased compressor left in the brackets. Even all the hard lines were cut off. This would be very low priority.

    Oh, hey there!

Very nice! Good luck with her. P.S. look for rust around each body mount, IPO you should repair those first!

What would be the cheapest way to match front and rear axle gear ratios?

Mine as purchased,(2.5L 4 cylinder 5 speed) with 33x12.5x15’s) good for 50 to 55 mph. Found out it had the wrong gear sets installed. He recommends going with almost stock size tires and 410’s front and rear to “help” the issue.

    Rust Repair Approach

Cut and weld, use an absolute minimum of body filler.

What would be the cheapest way to match front and rear axle gear ratios?

I’m having mine regeared to 410’s front and rear. Leaving it to the 4x4 shop so it gets shimmed properly. Probably not the cheapest way though.

    Door rebuild parts

Ill I’ll post what I can. Most work is being done by a 4x4 shop. In the mean time I picked a couple of used doors. I have stripped them down. This week I’ll be sending them to a friend of my son who does media blasting. When I get them back, a decision will be made as to wether they are...

Are there any companies reproducing internal door parts?

During my tear down of the YJ full doors, I found one of the window channels rusted. Are there any companies reproducing these internal parts?

Are my doors not YJ doors?

Doors are YJ... mirrors, not so much!

    Door rebuild parts

I stripped down the first door today. Found an area on the upper surround that has been previously repaired. Looks like they used some kind of epoxy putty over a perforated metal. Definitely will remove and weld in a repair. Also found the usual crack at the bottom of the vent window post...

    Door rebuild parts

Yes, door panels, handles, mirrors and all rubber. The steel looks good and the glass and cranks work fine. I looked some on Quadratec and found two kits.

Bought 2 YJ doors today, who has recommendations for buying rebuild parts?

What route would I take from South Florida to Arizona?

Correct! As purchased, drives like crap. It has a 2.5L 4 cylinder motor and I don’t expect much. In the shop now to re-wheel, re-tire, all new suspension, fix leaks and re. - gear if necessary. We will see what it does after the first $5000.

Who makes the best soft top for my ‘93 YJ?

I’m not disagreeing. I asked to have all the other work completed before I decide what to do. I still need a set of doors before I decide on which top to get.

I like that you’re thinking outside the box! But that may be difficult in January. Lol

What route would I take from South Florida to Arizona?

I agree with your comments, Florida won’t be an issue, thanks for the tip on Louisiana, Texas scares me due to the 80 mph speed limits (I had a tractor trailer pass on the grass shoulder because I was driving my truck camper and towing a cargo trailer at 65 mph!). I may try to skip Texas all...
