Has anyone done Air Conditioning Delete on their YJ with the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine? What belt? Tensioner? Routing?

Ok! We can add the following additional work as of today: Replaced Rear Main Seal Replaced Transfer Case Shifter and bracket - re-rigged. Now have 4WD! Replaced Oil Pressure Sensor Replaced Oil Pan and Gasket New seats should arrive next week.

. My Rear Main Seal was leaking pretty bad, short video below. The clutch and pressure plate are in new condition and will be reinstalled. Hopefully with this and a new oil pan the oil leaks will be done once and for (all) a while!

The local transmission shop has obtained a used replacement for the proper transmission (AX-15). Being installed now.

Thus far I’ve invested about $3000 more than she’s worth. Still needs a new soft top, a pair of front seats, and a new stereo. May someday replace the trashed out A/C system too. Probably another $3000.

Jeep is back in the shop. The replacement bracket for the transfer case shift linkage came in, but before that, they will change out the oil pan to a new one I bought and change the rear main seal. This is not the same shop that did not find the leak in the first place, this is a transmission...
