    1995 Sahara project

Cleaning out the intake and the intake ports would certainly not hurt anything. As I was going through everything, I was cleaning out everything I could. I also cleaned and polished the throttle body. If you are having issues, it's probably in another area but if you are planning to do some deep...

    1995 Sahara project

I can't say honestly, I only test drove it around the property and then on to the trailer and off the trailer into my garage before I started tearing it apart. I can say it runs awesome currently after I went through everything and rebuilt it. The intake manifold was a real mess of caked oil and...

    New low speed vibration

You can pick up the Transmission insulator stud at Amazon, Extreme Terrain, etc. I picked it up from Amazon along with the new grommets. All you need is the two large washers to finish it out. I was unable to find those anywhere when I was looking online to replace it on my old Jeep. On my...

Are all the mounting threads 'floating' on a 95 YJ windshield frame?

I went through this on my previous Jeep. The bracket dropped into the frame as soon as I got the last bolt out. UGH. I had no idea. I used a telescoping magnet tool through the large opening in the bottom of the frame, to get the bracket to sit in place enough to get one of the bolts threaded...

Yeah, it's closer to a matte/satin finish. I spray a matte clear after just to help protect it, which winds up with about the same sheen.

    1995 Sahara project

Yeah, worked pretty well. Easy job overall, just a pain getting the bracket back in place with the new lines. Happy to finally get this one off the list and not be worried about the Jeep burning down from those old lines.

    1995 Sahara project

Yeah, that is what I replaced in my last post. All those photos are those lines, from the fuel rail to the hard lines down on the frame. The rubber was in very bad shape and I was worried about a pressurized leak spraying fuel on the exhaust header and causing a fire. You can buy the OEM style...

No spark at the ignition coil

Nice that you figured it out and in the end it was a simple fix. I wired a kill switch into mine but it's a lot more hidden than that one. I would be concerned about what you just did, bumping it by accident lol. I would have to relocate that so it's not so easy to find and out of the way. Only...

    1995 Sahara project

New lines are installed. Easy job over all. I cleaned up the hard line ends along the frame under the Jeep. The toughest part was getting the little bracket that holds them to the intake manifold back in position. Glad to finally get this done. I should have done it when I first...

    1995 Sahara project

One of the first things I tackled with this Jeep was the fuel system. I didn't take pics of the original work I did because I didn't realize I'd be doing a build thread back then. I dropped the tank and cleaned it out (which was needed, it had a bunch of grit and crap along the bottom of it) and...

Help identifying part and function of wires

That is what it looks like, especially with that hard cable coming out of the other end. Does the other end terminate at the throttle body or is it just cable tied somewhere?

    Clutch master cylinder air bubble

Great, glad to hear it. Hopefully you have good luck with it. When I was searching, most of the options were completely plastic. I was trying to find something as close to OEM as possible.

    95 YJ 2.5 5-speed running rough

Glad you got it figured out. I know it's annoying when it's something simple but at least it was something simple and you worked it out.

    95 YJ 2.5 5-speed running rough

After my rebuild on my YJ, it ran great for a week. Then all of a sudden it felt like it dropped a cylinder or two. Power was greatly reduced and I could hear it had at least a dead cylinder. My issue wound up being in the injector harness. I removed all the injector plugs one by one and made...

Question about clearance between radiator and water pump pulley on 94 YJ 4.0

I would be curious about this. It would make sense if they used that as the guide to where the engine mounts should be based on the prior 4cyl engine.

Question about clearance between radiator and water pump pulley on 94 YJ 4.0

I could see that it must have been a 2.5 before I read that in the post. Besides the welding marks on the frame that shows where the old motor mounts were the clearance between the firewall and the engine/valve cover is further than what you normally see with a 4.0. Typically the valve cover is...

What is my old YJ worth?

As others stated, location will play a part in value. Honestly, Rio's are not all that rare overall. Some colors are more rare like the Aqua Pearl, Impact Orange and Emerald Green. The Moss green color is the most common color on the Rio. Looking on MP in my area of central Florida, there are...

    Clutch master cylinder air bubble

These pre-bled units shouldn't need any bleeding. Install and go. A lot of them seem like junk anymore though and I read stories like this all the time of failure very quickly. The one you have is it all plastic? Just curiuos. When I did my auto to manual swap (external slave) I ordered a AMS...

PCM from working Jeep not working in other Jeep

As macho said, that one PCM is probably bad. I would do like he said and swap the auto pcm in. If it runs on that one, than that pretty much narrows down your issue. When you swapped in the parts PCM, did the check engine light come on when you turn the key?

New member! Another '95 Rio Grande!

All Rio Grande YJ's have the same seats in them. His look like aftermarket, maybe Bestop seats? Yours probably look like these which are OEM.
