Well, it turns out that the terminal in the temp sender is sized and positioned like one half of a regular quarter inch spade connector, and the housing fits the insulated female spade connector just about perfectly... As for the oil sender, it's round terminal is a good fit for a female...

Thanks! They had the oil connector, but not the temp gauge connector. And man are they proud of the one they have! I found them for anywhere from $35 to $58. I think I might just go visit a wrecking yard...

First place I'd look is your automatic shut down relay in the power distribution box. It sounds like it might be stuck on. As Flyer58 said, that would mean the rig would run until you lost fuel pressure.

By the way, no one ever budgets enough for this little stuff. I'm building this rig to be reliable and last another 10 years, so I'm trying not to mickey mouse anything.
