Do I need to install manual hubs?

You can pull the two piece passenger side factory shafts and replace them with a one piece shaft from a TJ or XJ. That’s all there is to it. Doing the one piece shaft upgrade does not require locking hubs. It works seamlessly with the factory Dana 30 unit bearings, brakes, and knuckles.

    Rocky-Road 100% bolt-on SOA kit

The fourth leaf pad is ideally cast into the housing center section. Requiring no welding or setup. Attached is a picture of a SUA Dana 44 with the ideal leaf mount cast into the center section. If going to a one ton, the Ford Dana 60’s are also cast into the centersection, along with Chevy...

    YJ soft top in twill?

I do understand how he got to that theory. How many nice YJ’s do you see out there? I very rarely see any. Ones that I do see break my neck. Parts thrown at most of the YJ’s I see are cheap and total crap.

    What tires do you like?

Depending on how you wheel it and what size tire and wheel you are shopping for. I love the BFG Krawler for the rocks, they have a DOT approved version (non-sticky) But any C rated tire would be my go to. I like Falken Wildpeak M/T’s, Nitto M/T’s, and the MTR for street manners. The...

    YJ soft top in twill?

Bestop, hands down. No one does it better when it comes to quality, fit, and finish.

    Rocky-Road 100% bolt-on SOA kit

Do your homework. Solid Axle Industries and Dynatrac are the only aftermarket axle housing manufactures that have a Dana 44 center section designed to accept leaf springs. Solid Axle would be my go to for a Dana 44 high pinion. You buy just the center and build it yourself if desired...

    Can a Dana 30 handle a locker?

Ditch the CAD and use a TJ or XJ one piece shaft like @machoheadgames mentioned. A truss is good but some are bigger than they need to be. Some can even limit uptravel, which then requires increasing bump. So pay attention there. As for strength, Chromo shafts from Dutchman or Revolution would...

    Rocky-Road 100% bolt-on SOA kit

Well, what are you using your Jeep for? If it’s mild wheeling, I advocate for staying SUA and wheeling it with 4 inch springs and 33’s. Going to a 35 inch tire is opening up all kinds of need for support. In an ideal world you would need bigger brakes, longer brake lines, lockers, chromos...

A YJ with an LS on Coilovers & Spidertrax Axles

The diffused lens version helps with the sheer brightness. Spreads the light out a little bit in comparison to the clear lens option. For factory rollbar fitment you have a few options, my first suggestion is the factory or factory clone version of the late model TJ speaker pods. They contain...

A YJ with an LS on Coilovers & Spidertrax Axles

Started the cleaning process yesterday on one of my GenRight stretch tanks that I never cleaned. The tank was purchased used and has a bunch of spray paint on it and adhesive from some kind of tape that's been baked on. Using ScotchBrite, WD-40, and a some elbow grease to achieve a clean...

I have gotten several inquires about the KC Cyclones dome light mount. Here are the details. https://cutlessdesigns.com/store. Offered for 2”, 1.75”, and 1.5” tubes. The new ones going forward will be anodized gloss black as seen in some of the photos for a really clean finish. As mentioned...

How can I get more power out of my 4 cylinder Jeep?

Not exactly true. And most electric fans are kits that are put together by the buyer and often are always faced with constant issues. On another note, the 2.4L 4 cylinder in the late model TJ’s use an electric fan setup from the factory and seem to work great. Something about having true...
