That is the bleeder for the slave and yes you can move it around. The line hanging off it is not stock as IIRC it had what looks like a brake cylinder bleed valve at the tip only.

Are you losing fluid? is the pedal spongy? is your Yj a 4 banger with the AX5 which are not particularly a durable trans and if you do the clutch slave/master remember the slave is inside the trans so you'd do the clutch/slave and master all at once.

A rev limiter will do just that, cut off the engine at the set RPM. Ive never had a limiter literally shut down the engine to where it had to be restarted.

Say what one will but this is why I like carbed, non computer controlled engines. A hammer and some duct tape and your good to go. 🤪

I Had the hots for a Discovery but never jumped on the chance to try one out. I gotta admit I dig the old school Land rovers. Not even sure if Range and Land are of the same making. Im a fan of no frills utility which is one big reason I hated my jeep TJ compared to my old CJ's and YJ's.

No cause when you shut ot off much of the oil drains out anyhow. Id start with a bad part or gauge/ground issue.

There are several different ones used, post a pic so all can see what you need. . Try Craigslist like I did and found 4 steelies for $50.

I also used a Dorman on my 95/4.0 and one on a V6 mustang. Like Macho I never racked up much in miles on either but they fit good and they were quiet again :) This was also about 10 years ago so who knows how the quality is these days.

Possible the PO dumped cheap hyd fluid in the trans cause it was on hand?

Hard top, the bad. Must be a planned removal and storage place. Ventilation/noise sucks with the door off or door window rolled down IMO. Hard top the good. Rig can be locked up, quieter, more weather proof. Soft top bad. Tears in heavy brush or tight trail work. Noisy as all hell. So so...
