@machoheadgames and @Plastic Fury It appears you are right. The black cable does terminate at the throttle body. The turn signal stalk has the cruise functions on it so I did not think it was aftermarket. I was just in the garage following the wiring and it did indeed go through the firewall...

Howdy. Does anyone know what this part is and what it does? 4.0 L with automatic transmission. The wiring was all janky and wrapped in tape so I investigated. After taking the tape off, I found the blue and white wires that are on its own connector are cut and not connected to anything down...
