My 87 YJ 4.2L always idled too fast. The experts all said it was a vacuum leak issue. They recommended a rebuild. I opted for a new carb. Same exact unit but is a clone. There were no instructions. I put the fuel and air screws the same as the old carb. Left and right screws at 3 turns out. I'm getting fuel to the carb but no gas through the carb. Someone said to look down the throat and look for gas squirt while turning the throttle. Nothing. What should I do to fix this? I still have the working old carb to swap parts if needed. Any ideas or words of wisdom is appreciated.

If you have fuel to the carb but no fuel getting into the carb Id be looking at the float being stuck up, it thinks the bowl is full already. If its not the float its gotta be the needle in the seat is hung up or plugged, some I've seen have a tiny little screen/filter, or they never drilled it out or its buggered up with crap. Secondly, 3 turns out seems like an lot on those mix screws, you need to explore if there really is a intake vac leak somewhere. Its doing your engine no good.
