1994 Wrangler, 2.5 motor. Squirrel chewed through heater hoses. Replaced hoses, and added coolant. Started engine, and white foam poured out of radiator fill. I did research and found 2 possible causes. Head gasket/cracked head, or coolant mixed. I got a coolant pressure tester and it held pressure for an hour. The oil is clean with no coolant in it. I can run it until warmed up and it doesn't blow into the coolant reservoir. Will a back flush and new coolant fix this? Fingers crossed hoping the consensus is yes. Time to grab a beer.

One thing is Jeeps are notorious for having air bubbles in the cooling system after draining and refilling them. They should be properly "Burped" during and after their filled.

I always drove the front end up on ramps, or park on a steep hill so the front is much higher, and this should clear any trapped air in the back of the head or heater core. I've seen it foam over too when filling.

I'll be doing this soon and finally broke down and bought a coolant funnel which helps when filling and spill over.

Thanks for the reply. I actually was looking at that exact same setup. I will flush and refill in the next couple days. My afternoon was filled today with finding a short in the running light circuit. It is too stupid what I found. Some people need not do wiring mods......🤠
