how’s it going jeepers. I never installed a windshield before but I’m pretty decent at the DIY stuff. Have a brand new windshield frame that i painted and and ready to install the glass and seals. Watched a bunch of videos and I think I should be able to do it myself confidently.

My question is, when it comes to the outer reveal seal that surrounds the glass, how exactly does it stay in place? Do I need to have enough of the urethane in the channel so that it has something to grab onto, or does it just simply press in and it will stay put?

Any recommendations from more experienced folks are greatly appreciated and thanks again for your time friends!!

When it comes time for new windshield glass I plan on going to the local Safelite dealer. I know that is not the answer you are looking for but what my plan is.

I recommend you borrow or buy an electric caulk gun or warm the caulk before hand. It's very thick and hard to get it out of the tube. Dido on the above response.
