Did you do new dash speakers will it's all apart?
Knock in the clutch/throw-out bearing....
I installed a new stage 2 clutch I picked up with some other parts. While running before with no exhaust I could not hear the noise. I put exhaust on and it's noticeable. The video picks it up better than the human ear. It's not the engine. It does change with rpm. It's definitely in the bell housing. .... cant attach video. New throw out bearing btw.... any thoughts?
5th gear shouldn’t spin in neutral unless your wheels are rolling. The direction connection to the counter shaft is with the input shaft on the AX transmissions so it’s the output shaft that sits still in neutral, which should mean that 5th is sitting still. Or technically the output is sitting still while the 5th gear sprocket freewheels as the counter shaft turns it, but I’d be surprised if that made noise.
Ok.... transmission replaced. I dismantled it and the bearing on the countershaft is as terribly pitted like water had stood in the bottom. I order a reman from a place out of Memphis. Shipped same day as order and it got here next day. Now, the other issue is the slave cylinder. The push rod did not have the bushing on the end! Apparently it's necessary as it will not fully clear the clutch. Back wheels are off the ground. No issue going in forward gears but grinds reverse. I have a new slave cylinder but I'm not sure how to attach it to the hard plastic line.
