I'm new to the group. I have a 1987 YJ that I picked up cheap. It has no brakes. I think the previous owner used the wrong fluid and destroyed all the rubber. I replaced the booster, master cylinder, front caliper Orings, rear brake cylinders, proportioning valve, and all soft lines. After bleeding several times, I still have no brakes! The pedal goes to the floor with no pressure. I thought the booster push rod might be too long and bought the H shaped tool to adjust it. It turned out that it was too long causing premature engagement. After adjusting, it still doesn't work. Now I'm frustrated and don't know where to turn next. Any insight would be great!! HELP!

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder properly before installing?

Be careful with the H shaped tool, I bought one of those off of Amazon and the center portion was built longer than the tool which inevitably made me adjust my pushrod shorter than it should be. I go by feel just sizing up the MC to the booster these days, I just go until the MC seats into place without rocking.

DOT 5/silicone fluid likely?? Being all the parts, and rubber hoses have been replaced it do sound like you just have to much air in the lines. A tool I use is a Mighty Vac. Plug it on the wheel cyl bleeder and suck away. You better make 100% sure all the old stuff is out as well.
