How many gallons of Coolant (50/50 mix) from completely dry engine block, radiator, heater core.
My guess is 4 gallons +/-

More like 2.5-3 gallons on a straight 6. Probably closer to 3 on a 4.2L because I believe those have coolant running through the intake manifold.

I only got about 3 gallons into my 4.0, completely empty, including filling the reservoir up from empty also.

Yeah I was about 3 gallons when I filled mine after rebuild. That was with an empty block/head, new heater core and hoses and new reservoir so it was completely empty/dry.

Same as above, stock style Spectra Premium from Napa. Someday I’m going to go to the Mopar I have sitting in a box, but not until I have a nice clean rebuilt engine to connect it to. Either way, quantity is right about the same between stock and stock style aftermarket replacement.
